This file contains the known descendants, to the 6th
generation, of Joshua Cawood, born about 1690, nailmaker of Otley, Yorkshire.
Notes for Walter RIDGARD
Had a farm in the Longlands, Barkley West area, which he lost because he signed surety for someone, and became a road worker. Later on his body was found in a river. Some say he committed suicide, others that it was a shooting accident; but the
family believed he was murdered by a disgruntled worker, by name De Kock, who worked for him but was laid off. [84].
